Service performed on June 15, 2021. Date of review August 11, 2021, about two months later. Wanted to wait to make sure the review was accurate. Experienced a water pump failure while on vacation in Edisto beach. Called Honest-1 because I have one on my hometown that I have never used but I have heard good things about… has a reputation for solid work with quick turn around times. Also, they have a warranty on the work and there is a location less than three miles from my house back home. I set myself up expecting something to go wrong. So far—again, two months later—I need not have worried. This location got me in the next day, put on a new water pump, seal and belt, and I have been trouble free ever since. No pressure to perform any additional or unnecessary repairs. No hassle at all actually. While the repair took quite a bit of time—nearly 7 hours—I am pleased with the work completed. It’s not as cheap as doing it yourself, which I would have done if I were at home, but I feel like I got what I paid for… solid work, now time-tested, and a warranty to back it up. I also want to give the team at west Ashley a shout out for what I witnessed time and time again—excellent and caring customer service with every patron who came in that day. I waited the whole time and saw lots of people come and go. What I saw was consistent and compassionate—and HONEST—customer service. Well done, West Ashley! I’ve recommended this shop to family and friends who live in and around Charleston.
