It was 6 weeks ago when I when in to have the mechanic change my oil and check my air conditioner. It was time for an oil change and I had gone several hundred miles over it was critical to have it changed. Also I had been having trouble with my a/c for a while. It would blow out cold air and if I hit a bump it would go off. Sometime it would come on when I hit a bump. But the compressor was for sure working but the switch you turn it low and high would only work on high. I explained all of this at the front counter and said call me to let me know what is wrong before fixing the a/c. Change the oil for sure. I left the car and got a ride home at 11 am they called me at 2 p.m. and said they had checked the a/c and I needed a new condenser, new compressor, filter dryer and several other things relating to the a/c. and he said thats why its blowing out hot air. I said I never said it blew out hot air its very cold air just not consistant. He said I'll call you back after I check with the mechanic again. He never called back. at 4 PM. I caught a ride back to the Honest Car Repair.. They had not even changed my oil. They said you can go ahead and take it if you like. I said, " the oil change was the main thing." I will wait I had to wait an additional 45 minutes after my car had been there for 5 hours. When the mechanic brought it around I walked outside the door and and asked him to stop there I got in the a/c was blowing freezing cold air and I asked him why someone said I needed a new compressor, condenser, and all the other things they listed he said I dont know it is obviously working great. Honest Not So Honest.
